Colorado Opportunity Caucus Salutes Sen. Dafna Michaelson Jenet as she Begins New Endeavor
“It is a bittersweet moment as we say goodbye to our friend and colleague Sen. Dafna Michaelson Jenet as she completes her time in the legislature, and we congratulate her on her new role at the David & Laura Merage Foundation.
“Sen. Michaelson Jenet has spent nearly a decade serving the people of Colorado in the State Assembly and has made her presence known with her leadership as Senate President Pro-Tempore, and with a legislative record that will have a lasting positive impact on Coloradans.
“A vocal champion for those whose voices are too often silenced, she fought for justice for victims of sexual assault, actively promoted equality for our LGBTQ+ community, and stood up to ensure that no Colorado public school student would have to go hungry. She combined her passion for protecting people with a talent for moving policy through the legislative process, and the results have made our state stronger, more compassionate and a better place for all Coloradans.
“While we will miss her daily presence at the Capitol, we are excited to see her bring her passion and talents to the important work of fighting antisemitism here in Colorado.
“We wish Dafna continued success as she begins her new role, and we look forward to continuing to work with her in our collective effort to keep moving Colorado forward.”
